Elroy P. Sailor entered Morehouse College at the age of 16. Over the last 30 years Elroy has produced an impressive track record which recently afforded him the honor of being listed as number 14 of Newsmax’s 50 Most Influential African-American Republicans serving as one of the nation’s premier business executives and political operatives.
Elroy is on the board of Harvest Health and Recreation, a publicly traded company, where he served on the Special Select Committee which provided governance for the company’s $800 million acquisition which at the time was the largest cannabis purchase in U.S. history.
Elroy is also the Co-Founder of the J.C. Watts Companies, and has served as its CEO and President, a multi-industry business headquartered in Washington, D.C. with operations in Florida, Oklahoma and Texas. He built a dynamic and talented executive management team that owns and operates Watts Partners, one of DC’s largest African American owned government and corporate relations firm. In 2005, Elroy led the investment team which acquired two John Deere dealerships becoming the first African American owned authorized dealer in John Deere’s history. He is an owner, investor and helped build the launch strategy for Black News Channel, a 24/7 news channel that will launch November 2019 to an estimated 33 million households – 23 million satellite TV households and 10 million cable TV households in the top African – American TV markets. In 2013 Elroy was recruited to manage the go to market strategy for a healthy care company that built an urban health care facility. Elroy assisted with securing a venture capital raise of $25 million and under Elroy’s leadership the team executed and led operational, communications and marketing strategies over a two-year period resulting in – Centene’s Corporation (NYSE:CNC) (“Centene”) announcement to purchase a majority stake in Fidelis SecureCare of Michigan, Inc.
Elroy served on the 2017 Trump Pence Presidential Transition Team. He has served as a Senior Advisor to Reince Priebus, former Chairman, Republican National Committee, and has served as Senior Advisor and Director of Strategic Programs for Rand Paul for President, 2016 Presidential Campaign. In addition to his work with Watts Partners and Mustang Equipment, Elroy founded INSIGHT America, a non-profit organization co-chaired by thirteen U.S. Congressional Members. INSIGHT America (www.insightamerica4u.com) convenes high level policy forums with White House Cabinet officials and U.S. Congressional leaders. Elroy has served as a monthly commentator on American Urban Radio, ABC World News, and News One Now.
Elroy is a proud graduate of Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia and a graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP), Michigan State University. Elroy Sailor, and his wife, Angela Sailor, Chief of Staff, Heritage Foundation and a former George W. Bush, White House appointee have been mentioned by Jet Magazine as a D.C. Power Couple. Their daughter attends West Point Military Academy.
